2. Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted using AWS Amplify. When you access the website, technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, referring page, and request time may be processed in server logs. This processing is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website. AWS may process data outside the European Economic Area subject to the safeguards applicable to the relevant AWS services and account.

3. Contact by email
If you contact me by email, I process the information you provide in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication concerns a potential or existing contract, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Correspondence is retained only for as long as required for the enquiry, contractual relationship, or applicable statutory retention obligations.
4. Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is processed to send the requested messages. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting me.
The newsletter is provided using Kit, a service operated by Kit, Inc. Subscriber data may be processed in the United States. Kit provides contractual data-protection safeguards for its processing of newsletter subscriber information.

5. Local browser storage
The website stores your selected color theme and whether the newsletter prompt has already been shown in your browser's local storage. These settings remain on your device and avoid repeatedly asking for the same preference. They are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
6. Search and external links
Site search runs against an index generated from the public website content. Search terms are processed locally in your browser and are not sent to an external search provider.
This website contains links to third-party services such as GitHub. Data is transmitted to those providers only when you follow the corresponding link. Their own privacy terms then apply.
7. Your rights
Subject to the requirements of the GDPR, you may have the right to:
- request access to and a copy of your personal data;
- request correction or deletion;
- request restriction of processing;
- receive data you provided in a portable format;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
- withdraw consent with effect for the future.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.

This privacy notice may be updated when the website, service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
